Description

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) curriculum is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary for employment and growth in the AI profession. Course work includes various subject areas related to AI fundamentals, machine learning, deep learning theory, and hands-on training in multiple AI domains for the purpose of creating and implementing artificial intelligence across a broad range of applications. Graduates may qualify for entry-level AI positions such as AI engineer, AI project manager, AI researcher, AI consultant, AI architect, conversational AI specialist, AI automation engineer, AI software engineer, and machine learning specialist.

The Information Technology (IT) curriculum prepares graduates for employment in the technology sector and with organizations that use information technology systems to process information and automate business processes.

Coursework is designed to develop a student’s ability to create, store, communicate, exchange, and use the information to solve technical issues related to information security, interactive media, network systems, software development, and information technology support and services.

Graduates should qualify for employment in entry-level positions with businesses, educational systems, and governmental agencies that rely on computer systems to design and manage information. The program will incorporate the competencies of industry-recognized certification exams.

This curriculum complies with the standard approved by the State Board of Community Colleges.

Course Rotation: CSC 113 -Artificial Intelligence Fundamentals will be offered during even-numbered spring semesters (e.g., Spring 2026). CSC 114 - Artificial Intelligence I will be offered during even-numbered fall semesters (e.g., Fall 2026). CSC 115 - Machine Learning I will be offered during odd-numbered spring semesters (e.g., Spring 2027).

Within this program specific courses will prepare students for the following industry credentials: CTI 120 - Comp TIA Network+ CTS 120 and CTS 220 - Comp TIA A+ CTS-125 - MOS PowerPoint Certification CTS-130 - MOS Excel Associate Certification DBA-110 - MOS Access Expert Certification NET Courses - Cisco Certified Network Associate SEC-110/150 - Security+
