Description
The Public Administration curriculum is designed to provide students with the knowledge and the skills necessary for employment and growth in the public administration profession. Public Administration professionals draft, analyze and implement policies through a wide range of government agencies and directly impact who has access to resources, general living standards, and opportunities for diverse communities.
Course work may include accounting, computer applications, business, and public administration. Related skills are developed through the study of communications, computer applications, analytics, critical thinking skills, and ethics.
Graduates should qualify for entry-level government and non-profit positions in many types of organizations including non-profits and local, state, and federal government.
This curriculum complies with the standard approved by the State Board of Community Colleges.
Students may be required to take developmental courses in Math and/or English as a result of high school GPA or pre-enrollment placements tests. Therefore, the student may need more than the minimum number of semester hours listed for graduation. Consult a program advisor for more information.
