Description

The Catamount Blue Ridge Program guarantees admission to WCU when the applicant meets certain requirements. This pathway program is designed using WCU's transfer information to create a clear path for students completing the Accounting Associate in Applied Science Degree program at Blue Ridge Community College transferring to WCU's accounting program. Students must complete each course within the Accounting Degree with a grade of “C” or better for the course to transfer.

Students may be required to take developmental courses in Math and/or English as a result of high school GPA or pre-enrollment placements tests. Therefore, the student may need more than the minimum number of semester hours listed for graduation. Consult a program advisor for more information.

Industry credentials have been built into this program in the following courses: ACC 150- QuickBooks Online Certified user CTS 130 - MOS Excel Associate Certification ACC 227- Intuit Certified Bookkeeping Professional Certification

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this program, students will:

  • Prepare financial reports and forms using appropriate accounting software (e.g. financial, managerial, payroll, tax, spreadsheet, accounting software).
