Description

This program is an articulated program with Fayetteville State University. Fayetteville State University has an online option for its bachelor’s degree in accounting, making this a pathway for students completing their associate degree from BRCC through our online option. Students who plan to attend the accounting program at Fayetteville State University should be enrolled in the Accounting Associate's Degree program at Blue Ridge Community College. Students must receive a grade of "B" or better to transfer the course to the FSU equivalent. A grade of "C" will transfer as a free elective.

Students may be required to take developmental courses in Math and/or English as a result of high school GPA or pre-enrollment placement tests. Therefore, the student may need more than the minimum number of semester hours listed for graduation. Consult a program advisor for more information.

Industry credentials have been built into this program in the following courses: ACC 150- QuickBooks Online Certified user CTS 130 - MOS Excel Associate Certification ACC 227- Intuit Certified Bookkeeping Professional Certification

  • Prepare financial reports and forms using appropriate accounting software (e.g. financial, managerial, payroll, tax, spreadsheet, accounting software).
  • Analyze business and financial scenarios.
